How do I Transition an existing GS project to Gold Standard For The Global Goals (GS4GG)? Print

A Transition Template is used to close gaps between previous Standard versions and GS4GG without requiring project developers to resubmit their project documentation using new GS4GG templates. The Transition Template is only required when projects transition at Performance Certification.

The Transition Template must be submitted alongside any Performance Review in which the VVB verification contract was signed after 1^st March 2018. Once a Transition is approved, the project becomes a GS4GG project; monitoring periods verified after the date of transition approval must therefore be verified under GS4GG.

Transition may also occur at the next crediting period renewal after 1^st March 2018 (again, defined as the date the VVB contract was signed). Projects are required to re-submit their project documentation using new GS4GG templates and are renewed as GS4GG projects. A Transition Template is therefore not required.
